Better known as the creators of the first automatic wristwatch, Swiss-born Fortis are a brand of many milestones. Founded in 1912 by Walter Vogt, the luxurious portfolio of Fortis is closely entwined with historical turning points across the horological, aeronautic and astronautic industries. Attesting to these connections, the brand has had a longstanding partnership with the Russian space agency ROSCOSMOS and has collaborated with the likes of the Austrian Space Forum and the Swedish Space Corporation. You don't have to be a pilot to appreciate the function and the quality of the Fortis Flieger. Each of its highly capable models is equipped with unique features such as the brand's patented Brixtrack® and Synchroline® designs. To ensure maximum durability, the adventure-ready models are crafted only from the highest quality materials.
Core Features of the Fortis Flieger Collection:
- Each Flieger watch has luminescent hands and indices to ensure its readability in low-light conditions.
- Encasing each of the dials in this collection is a high-quality sapphire crystal.
- All watches feature a Brixtrack®, which is the brand's signature hour and minute track. Brick-like baton indices are inset into the dial for a neater finish.
- Flieger watches also feature a Synchroline® line that runs between the 11 and 1 o'clock markers, which facilitates watch synchronisation.
- All watches also feature a date display.
- The Flieger watches are also water-resistant up to 200 metres (20 bar).
Model Specifications F4220030:
- This limited edition model exhibits a matte black dial with applied Brixtrack® X1 and Synchroline® in Berlac fuor orange.
- The dial also features matte black hour and minute hands coated with Super-LumiNova X1 and a Berlac fluor orange sweep second hand.
- A date aperture is situated at the 3 o'clock position.
- A black DLC-coated recycled stainless steel case, with a bidirectional rotating 12-hour bezel, frames the dial. The case measures 41mm in diameter.
- The wearer can view the movement that powers the watch through the stainless steel case back with smoked sapphire.
- The watch is finished with a mission black hybrid strap that fastens with a black DLC-coated stainless steel pin buckle. The underside of the strap is made from specially developed FKM rubber, while the top side is made from a robust textile fabric.
- The screw-down crown, with a triple gasket system, ensures the watch is water-resistant up to 200 metres (20 bar).

Delivery & Returns
In addition to our 30 day returns policy, all items purchased from 1st October 2026 can now be returned until 15th January 2027, terms apply.
We aim for you to be absolutely delighted with your purchase and therefore offer you 30 days to change your mind on your purchase. You may do this by using the form provided with your order or otherwise. We will provide a refund of all payment received (not including delivery upgrades), usually within 2 working days of receiving your return (it may take a little longer during busy periods or for more complex returns). This will be made to the original payment method. For most payment methods it will take 3-5 working days for this to show on your statement.
Please ensure items from your order are suitable before wearing as we are unable to accept items which have been worn under our returns policy.
Returns are free on all UK orders. For orders under £500, you may generate a free tracked and insured returns label on the Royal Mail website (opens in a new window). You can print this label and send it back at any local Post Office at no cost to yourself. It is also possible to have the label printed at Post Office using the QR code from the confirmation email. Please retain the proof of postage receipt. Unfortunately we are unable to refund return postage for orders under £500 sent back by other methods, so we recommend printing the free postage label provided. For orders from £500 to £2,500, the Royal Mail label does not cover the value of the item, so please send it back by Royal Mail Special Delivery, insured for its full value, and we will reimburse the postage separately (please keep your proof of postage — full details are on your receipt), or contact us and we can arrange a collection. For orders over £2,500, please contact us and we will arrange the return for you. For international returns, you will need to bear the cost of returns postage. Please ensure the watch is returned to us in an unworn, new condition with all the original packaging (manufacturer's manual and guarantee if applicable). Please ensure items from your order are suitable before wearing as we are unable to accept items which have been worn under our returns policy. We reserve the right to make deductions for unnecessary damage caused to the product by yourself.
For UK orders we are also able to offer an exchange to a different product if required, please specify this when returning your product. For international orders, please return the item for a refund and place a new order for the product you would like.
If a fault develops with a watch that is outside of the 30 day returns period or is no longer in a new condition the watch can be returned to the manufacturer under the terms of the guarantee (we are an official UK dealer for all brands on our website) so that they can rectify any issues.
